Summary
This study tested a short program called the Making Connections Intervention (MCI) designed to help Black teenagers with depression feel more comfortable starting and sticking with treatment. The program, delivered in schools, used digital tools and personal sessions to make therapy feel more relevant. Researchers wanted to see if this approach improved teens' engagement in care and reduced their depression and suicidal thoughts.
