Summary

This study tests a way for orthopaedic surgeons to screen for depression in patients recovering from broken bones and offer medication treatment. About 100 adults who score at least mild depression after surgery can join. The goal is to see if antidepressant medication helps improve mood and how it compares to choosing no medication.
