Scientists map how depression changes your Body's emotional reactions
NCT ID NCT02026622
Summary
This study aimed to understand how depression affects the body's physical responses and brain activity during emotional experiences. Researchers compared 76 women—some currently depressed, some recovered from depression, and some healthy—measuring heart rate, breathing, skin responses, and brain blood flow while they experienced emotions. The goal was to identify differences that might help explain depression's effects on emotional processing.
