Dentists may spot diabetes during gum Check-Ups

NCT ID NCT07426224

Summary

This study aims to see if dentists can help find undiagnosed high blood sugar by adding a simple finger-prick test during routine gum disease exams. It will involve 300 adults with advanced gum disease. The goal is to identify people who might have diabetes or prediabetes without knowing it and connect them to medical care.
