NCT ID NCT06006156

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at two types of short dental implants (6 mm) placed in the front upper jaw to see how bone and gum tissue change over time. Twenty adults with missing teeth in the esthetic zone will receive implants with either a converging collar with micro threads or a diverging polished collar. Researchers will measure bone height, soft tissue changes, and success rates using X-rays and 3D scans.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help dentists choose the best implant design to maintain bone and gum health around short implants in the front upper jaw.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study is observational in nature and does not test a new treatment.
