Can a trip to the dentist help you quit smoking?
NCT ID NCT00591175
Summary
This study tested whether giving smokers information about how smoking harms their oral health during a routine dental visit would help them quit. It involved over 1,000 patients who smoked at least 10 cigarettes a day and were visiting an NYU dental clinic. Researchers compared different types of advice and support to see which approach was most effective for helping people stop smoking.
