Osteoporosis drug may boost muscle and insulin in diabetic women

Summary

This study tests whether denosumab, a drug used for osteoporosis, can also improve muscle strength and insulin sensitivity in postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes. About 40 women will receive either denosumab or a placebo for 12 months. The goal is to see if the drug offers additional benefits beyond bone health.
