The hidden struggle: study shines light on dementia caregivers beyond immediate family
NCT ID NCT04863859
Summary
This study aims to understand the experiences of extended family members—like grandchildren, siblings, and nieces/nephews—who help care for a loved one with dementia. Researchers will interview 240 caregivers to learn about the challenges they face, the services they use, and the barriers to getting help. The goal is to use this information to improve support services and reduce stress for both caregivers and the person living with dementia.
