New Quick-Check tool aims to catch dangerous Post-Surgery confusion in elderly
NCT ID NCT06504251
Summary
This study tested a simple Thai-language checklist designed to help nurses and doctors quickly identify delirium, a serious state of sudden confusion, in older patients recovering from hip fracture surgery. Researchers compared the new tool against a complex, expert-required standard to see if it was accurate and reliable. The goal is to make it easier to spot this common complication so patients can get help sooner.
