New cream could ease painful skin condition lichen sclerosus

Summary
This study tests a cream called delgocitinib for lichen sclerosus, a skin condition that causes itching, pain, and scarring in the genital area. About 652 adults with mild to severe disease will apply the cream twice daily for up to 52 weeks. Researchers will check if the cream improves skin appearance and reduces pain better than a placebo cream.
