Brain zaps may curb alcohol cravings in veterans

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called deep TMS can help veterans with alcohol use disorder stay sober longer. Researchers will use brain scans to see how the treatment affects emotional processing and drinking behavior. About 100 veterans will receive the treatment and be followed for 3 months to track their drinking days.
