Nighttime sounds tested to fight brain decline
NCT ID NCT07355842
Summary
This study is testing whether playing gentle sounds during sleep to enhance deep sleep can slow the progression of brain changes in people with isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) or early Parkinson's disease. Participants will wear a special headband and headphones at night for 18 months while researchers track changes in brain scans, movement, and memory. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach can help delay the worsening of symptoms.
