First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of nerve block, called a deep rectus sheath block, to see if it reduces pain after laparoscopic gallbladder removal. Sixty adults having this surgery will receive the block, and researchers will measure how much morphine they need in the first 24 hours. The goal is to find a better way to manage pain and reduce the need for strong painkillers.
