New brain electrode aims to ease Parkinson's symptoms

Summary

This study tests a new type of brain stimulation electrode (CARTESIA™) in 10 people with Parkinson's disease. The goal is to see if using directional stimulation can improve motor symptoms and reduce side effects compared to standard ring-mode stimulation. Participants already have brain implants and will have their stimulation settings compared during the study.
