First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at 50 people with lumbar spinal stenosis (a narrowing of the spine that causes back and leg pain) to see which surgery works better: decompression alone or decompression plus fusion. Researchers measured pain, disability, balance, and walking ability using questionnaires and wearable sensors. The goal was to find which patients might benefit most from each approach.
