Digital device shrinks jaw cysts before surgery

This study tested a new way to treat odontogenic cysts (fluid-filled sacs in the jawbone) using a custom-made, 3D-printed device. The device was placed right after a small opening was made in the cyst, allowing it to slowly shrink over time before being surgically removed. Fifteen patients took part, and the approach aimed to reduce the cyst's size and help the bone heal, with follow-up to check for recurrence.
