10-Year showdown: stents or pills for blocked arteries?
NCT ID NCT06908499
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at people with a completely blocked heart artery (chronic total occlusion) to see if placing a drug-coated stent is better than using only medications over at least 10 years. About 840 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The main goal is to compare rates of death, heart attack, stroke, or the need for another procedure.
