New radiation technique aims to zap prostate cancer with fewer side effects

NCT ID NCT07219303

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a new type of radiation therapy called adaptive SBRT for men with intermediate- or favorable high-risk prostate cancer. The goal is to see if it can safely deliver a higher dose of radiation directly to the tumor while avoiding nearby organs, which may reduce side effects. About 80 adults will receive 5 treatments over 2-3 weeks and be followed for up to 5 years to check for side effects and cancer control.
