Scientists track families to unlock secrets of inherited blood cancers
NCT ID NCT07019155
Summary
This study aims to understand how inherited changes in certain genes, especially the DDX41 gene, increase a person's risk of developing blood cancers like myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Researchers will follow over 500 participants, including people with these gene changes and their family members, for up to 10 years. The goal is to learn more about the disease process to help guide future treatments and management for at-risk families.
