New therapy aims to keep veterans out of trouble with the law

Summary

This study tests a special therapy program for veterans who have been involved with the criminal justice system. The program, called DBT-J, combines mental health support, substance use help, and case management. Researchers want to see if it lowers the risk of future criminal behavior and improves daily functioning compared to standard group therapy. About 200 veterans will take part.
