Summary

This study aims to understand how deep brain stimulation (DBS) helps people with severe, treatment-resistant depression. Researchers will implant a special DBS device that can both stimulate the brain and record its electrical signals. By tracking these signals and patients' moods over a year, they hope to find clues that could improve how DBS is used in the future. The study involves 10 adults living near New York City.
