Heart rate tracking could speed up colon surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT04996511

First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring heart rate variability (HRV) can help doctors better monitor patients recovering from laparoscopic colon surgery. About 30 adults who have had part of their colon removed will wear a heart monitor. The goal is to see if HRV readings are reliable enough to guide recovery and possibly shorten hospital stays.
