Friendly volunteers may boost stroke recovery at home

NCT ID NCT07590076

First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a trained volunteer visiting a stroke survivor at home for 8 weeks can make it easier to cope after leaving the hospital. About 840 people who had a stroke and are returning home will either get this extra support or just their usual care. Researchers will check how well participants are coping at 3 and 6 months after discharge.
