Can a Heart-Healthy diet change your gut and lower cancer risk?

NCT ID NCT04538482

Summary

This study is looking at how two different diets affect the community of bacteria living in people's guts. Researchers provided all meals for 28 days to 115 healthy Black and White adults in Alabama, comparing the DASH diet to a typical American diet. They collected stool samples to see if the DASH diet leads to healthier gut bacteria patterns and lower inflammation, which might help reduce the risk of diseases like cancer.
