DASH diet shows promise against childhood fatty liver

NCT ID NCT07480811

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether the DASH diet (a heart-healthy eating plan) can improve liver health in 88 children aged 11–18 with MASLD, a common fatty liver condition linked to obesity. Participants will follow the DASH diet for 12 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in liver fat using MRI scans. The goal is to see if this diet can reduce liver fat and improve metabolic markers like insulin resistance.
