NCT ID NCT07489677
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested a digital tool that helps doctors and pharmacists identify older hospital patients taking too many medications with anticholinergic effects—drugs that can increase risks of falls, confusion, and memory issues. The tool flagged high-risk patients and prompted doctors to reduce or switch those medications. Researchers worked with 21 patients aged 65 and older to see if the approach was practical and acceptable.
