New radiation implant shows promise for tough pancreatic tumors

Summary
This study tests a new approach for advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Doctors place a special device that releases alpha radiation directly into the tumor. The goal is to see if this procedure is safe and possible for patients. About 37 adults with advanced pancreatic cancer will take part.
