Shorter blood thinner course after artery stenting may cut bleeding risk

NCT ID NCT06276374

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at people with narrowed neck arteries who are at high risk for bleeding. After a stent procedure, they take two blood thinners for 30 days. Then, half switch to one blood thinner for 11 months, while the other half stay on two. The goal is to see if using one blood thinner reduces serious bleeding while still preventing strokes and heart attacks. About 1,556 adults in South Korea will take part.
