Summary

This study tests two procedures during emergency heart attack treatment: a special inflation technique (ischemic postconditioning) and ultrasound-guided stent placement. The goal is to see if these methods reduce death, heart failure, or the need for repeat procedures. The study will enroll 2500 adults having a specific type of heart attack called STEMI.
