First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at 128 adults with back pain from a slipped disc in the lower spine. Researchers measured levels of inflammation-related proteins in the blood before, two weeks after, and three months after starting either physical therapy or a steroid injection. The goal was to see if these protein levels relate to how well a person recovers, helping to better understand which treatment works best for whom.
