Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of an experimental drug called CYT-108 for people with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis. Nineteen participants received either the drug or a placebo injection directly into their knee joint twice over 12 weeks. Researchers monitored participants for 26 weeks to check for side effects and see if the treatment reduced pain and stiffness compared to the placebo.
