First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a personalized, less intense treatment plan to people with early-stage HPV-related throat cancer can keep the cancer from coming back while reducing side effects. About 150 participants will either have surgery followed by observation or limited radiation, or receive a customized course of chemoradiation. The goal is to maintain high survival rates while avoiding unnecessary harsh treatments.
