Ancient cupping put to the test for modern back pain
NCT ID NCT06193603
Summary
This study tested whether adding dry cupping therapy to standard physiotherapy helps people with long-term, non-specific low back pain more than fake cupping plus physiotherapy. 48 participants were randomly assigned to receive either real or sham cupping for 10 sessions, along with electrical stimulation and exercises. Researchers measured changes in pain, daily function, and quality of life to see if the real treatment offered extra relief.
