Pilot study aims to make mental health therapy more relevant for black communities
NCT ID NCT07252206
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a form of talk therapy (cognitive-behavioural therapy) can be successfully adapted to be more culturally relevant for Black people of African and Caribbean heritage who experience psychosis. Six participants will receive up to 16 therapy sessions and answer questions about their symptoms and their experience of the therapy. The main goal is to see if this adapted approach is practical, acceptable, and safe for this community.
