Summary

This study tested a program called SOCIAL-ENGAGE designed to help Spanish-speaking Latino adults who feel socially isolated and have suicidal thoughts. Researchers worked with 54 participants to see if increasing cultural-social activities (like spending time with others who share their background) could lower suicide risk. The goal is to create a program that can be offered to prevent suicide in this community.
