New tooth paste could save more baby teeth in public health emergencies
NCT ID NCT07542639
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares a simplified paste called CTZ to the standard treatment for infected baby teeth in emergency dental settings. About 110 children will receive either the CTZ paste or standard care, and researchers will check pain relief, infection control, and tooth health over 12 months. The goal is to see if the simpler, faster CTZ method works just as well, which could help more children keep their baby teeth instead of having them pulled.
