Blood test could personalize melanoma treatment, study hopes

NCT ID NCT07504796

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a simple blood test that looks for tumor DNA (ctDNA) can help doctors decide when to add a third immunotherapy drug (ipilimumab) to a two-drug combination (nivolumab and relatlimab) for people with advanced melanoma. About 90 adults with metastatic or advanced melanoma will take part. The goal is to see if this personalized approach improves how long the cancer stays under control while managing side effects.
