Blood test may spare breast cancer patients from chemo

NCT ID NCT06970912

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a blood test (ctDNA) can identify women with early-stage, hormone-positive breast cancer who can safely avoid chemotherapy. Instead of chemo, they receive a targeted pill (dalpiciclib) plus hormone therapy before surgery. The goal is to reduce side effects while keeping cancer from coming back. About 393 women will take part.
