Could a simple CT scan save lives after bypass surgery?

NCT ID NCT07165678

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doing a CT scan of the heart before the usual invasive procedure can lower the risk of death, heart attack, stroke, or hospital stays in people who have had bypass surgery and now have chest pain. About 1,000 adults will be randomly assigned to get the CT scan first or go straight to the standard procedure. The goal is to see if the CT-guided approach is safer and more effective.
