New CAR-T therapy aims to tackle tough lymphoma

NCT ID NCT07053670

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new immune cell therapy called CT1190B CAR-T in 27 adults with B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has come back or not responded to treatment. The therapy involves modifying a patient's own immune cells to better recognize and attack cancer cells. The main goals are to check safety and find the right dose, while also looking at how well it works and how the cells behave in the body.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

CT1190B CAR-T cells (a type of immune cell therapy)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for patients with hard-to-treat B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has not responded to standard therapies.

What could go wrong

This is a very early Phase 1 trial with only 27 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. CAR-T therapy can cause serious side effects like cytokine release syndrome and neurological problems.
