One scan instead of two? study tests simpler way to track bladder cancer

NCT ID NCT00567684

Summary

This study aims to see if a single type of CT scan (CTU) can effectively monitor bladder cancer recurrence, potentially replacing the current standard practice of using two different scans (IVU and CT). Researchers are comparing the image quality and information provided by both methods in 133 patients at risk for cancer returning. The goal is to simplify future monitoring for patients by reducing the number of scans needed.
