Simple scan could spare patients from wasted exercise, pointing them to better treatment
NCT ID NCT07433309
Summary
This study aims to see if measurements from a CT scan patients already get can predict who will not improve with standard exercise therapy for leg artery disease. Researchers will analyze muscle quality and belly fat from these scans in 128 patients to see if they can identify non-responders before treatment starts. If successful, this could help doctors immediately choose the best treatment for each patient, avoiding ineffective exercise for some.
