Heart CT could spot hidden scarring and predict future risks
NCT ID NCT06029400
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study will use CT scans to look for scarring and other changes in the heart muscle of 2,200 adults who already need a heart CT for medical reasons. The goal is to see if these CT findings can help predict who might later be hospitalized for heart failure or die. The research does not test a new treatment, but aims to improve how doctors assess heart disease risk.
