Summary

This was the first study in humans to test the safety and basic effects of an experimental drug called CT-996. It involved 94 overweight or obese adults, some with type 2 diabetes, to see how their bodies handled the drug and if it caused any side effects. The main goal was to determine safe dosage levels for future research.
