Spinal fluid test could revolutionize brain cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07476781

Summary

This study is exploring whether testing spinal fluid can better detect cancer that has spread to the brain or its lining compared to standard blood tests. Researchers will collect spinal fluid and blood from 60 patients with solid tumors, including those with and without brain metastases. The goal is to understand if spinal fluid analysis provides more accurate information about brain cancer spread, which could lead to better monitoring and treatment decisions in the future.
