Ice pack showdown: new device may slash opioid use after knee surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a compressive cold therapy device (Game Ready®) can help people use fewer opioid pain pills after knee replacement surgery. About 74 adults aged 60-80 will either use the device or standard ice packs four times daily for a week. Researchers will track pain levels and pill use to see which method works better.
