Freezing pain away: study tests if a simple nerve block can predict success
NCT ID NCT07289984
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a temporary numbing injection (diagnostic nerve block) can predict how well a longer-lasting freezing treatment (cryoneurolysis) works for chronic muscle and joint pain. About 50 adults with pain lasting over 3 months will be observed. The goal is to see if the nerve block response matches pain relief and walking ability after freezing the nerve.
