NCT ID NCT07650032
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Aug 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new device that uses extreme cold to destroy small areas of heart tissue causing a dangerous fast heartbeat called ventricular tachycardia. The trial will include 100 adults with this condition who have not responded to medication. Researchers will check if the procedure is safe and effectively prevents the abnormal rhythm for at least 6 months.
What this could mean

- Active substance
- cryoablation device (vCLAS Ventricular Ablation System)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a new, safer way to control dangerous heart rhythms without needing lifelong medication.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-stage study with only 100 people. The procedure carries risks like heart damage or bleeding, and it may not work for everyone.
