New program pairs paramedics with lawyers to fight addiction and legal woes
NCT ID NCT07216963
Summary
This study is testing a new program called CROSSROADS for adults who recently survived a drug overdose and were seen by community paramedics. It compares standard paramedic care to an enhanced program that also provides free legal help for issues like housing or benefits that can harm health. Researchers want to see if this combined approach helps people reduce drug use and avoid involvement with the criminal legal system over one year.
