New Crohn's surgery aims to cut recurrence risk by 30%
NCT ID NCT06856044
Summary
This study is testing whether a modified surgical technique that removes more surrounding tissue (mesentery) during Crohn's disease surgery is as safe as the standard approach. Researchers want to see if this method reduces the high rate of disease returning after surgery. The trial will involve 30 patients with Crohn's disease who are already on biologic medications and need intestinal surgery.
